Redefining beauty with an unconventional skin focused approach, Mimi Kamara is a New York based, traveling Makeup Artist with mastered experience in Fashion, Editorial, Film, Television, Red Carpet, and Award Shows. Originally from Freetown, Sierra Leone, Mimi unknowingly developed a strong passion for healing through beauty while observing the seemingly   therapeutic makeup rituals of her mother and grandmother. Also garnering tremendous inspiration   from the vibrancy of African and Sierra Leonean  culture. After graduating with her Bachelors degree in Psychology, she bridged the gap between her desire to help women and love for makeup, moving to New York to pursue a career as a full time makeup artist. Working for MAC cosmetics and ultimately freelancing full time after her industry break working with Morris Chestnut and Essence Magazine. Mimi continues to push creative boundaries through her constant pursuit of the "why" behind each application. Her Artistry serves as the final transformation to a constant evolution..
